Snaliah Mahal has a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and an MSc in Climate Change and International Development. She has been a member of the Saint Lucia National Trust from 2014 and previously served as Vice President of the Caribbean Youth Environment Network in Saint Lucia and is the immediate past National Coordinator. She also sits on the Board of Directors of the Saint Lucia National Conservation Fund (SLUNCF).
She is a former secondary school teacher and previously worked with the Department of Sustainable Development and currently works as a consultant on the GEF SGP funded Knowledge Fair 2020/21 as well as the RePLAST OECS Project. She has a passion for issues of environmental importance and is an avid advocate for youth development. Snaliah also owns a micro-business (7Ks) which specialises in sustainable alternatives to everyday products and upcycled handmade jewellery and home décor.
