The Saint Lucia National Conservation Fund (SLUNCF), in collaboration with its partner Cuso International, hosted a dynamic Grant Proposal Writing session on Thursday, August 14, 2025, at the Bel Jou Hotel. The highly interactive workshop brought together over 30 passionate participants from grassroots and non-profit organizations, each working tirelessly in areas such as environmental conservation, sustainable livelihoods, and community empowerment.

Participants gained valuable insights and practical skills in developing strong grant proposals, integrating gender mainstreaming into project design and delivery, applying Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) frameworks effectively and communication impacts and lessons to project donors and the audience.
Cuso International, a Canadian-based organization committed to creating opportunities for greater equity across Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean, and Canada. played a pivotal role in making this capacity-building event possible, through over 60 years of experience tackling poverty and advancing social justice.

The SLUNCF is grateful for the support from CUSO International, in propelling its vision of building stronger, more resilient communities through targeted training and resource mobilization.
